Southern Graces is an Event catering, planning and design company founded by Bethany Boles Hewitt in 2002. Southern Graces started out of a passion for all things that Bethany loved: food, flowers, and parties! After (now) husband Executive Chef Christopher Hewitt joined the Southern Graces team in 2007, they made the Lowcountry home and have continued to push the limit on creating some of the Southeast’s most spectacular bashes, including the reception for The Lord Bishop of London, the CMT Awards, and the launch of Porsche 911.

Event Catering

Food brings people together, and here in the South, it has always been the beginning and the end for any gathering. It forges bonds. It creates a taste memory that can bring us back to our childhood or move us forward in trying new flavors and combinations that bring the world right to our plate.

Even though design and many other details are part of every event, we take the quality of our food for events and in our restaurant very seriously. Executive Chef Christopher Hewitt leads the Southern Graces team with his extraordinary experience including working with Bobby Flay at Mesa Grill for 12 years, competing on Iron Chef, and being featured on the CBS Early Morning show, just to name a few of his credentials. Chef Bethany Boles Hewitt continues to create innovative hors d’oeuvres and intoxicatingly delicious desserts that the culinary team executes flawlessly, with features including Food Network, CMT, & Lifetime’s Get Married.

And of course, the food itself is of the highest standards possible. Menus are created with the seasons in mind so many of our ingredients can be purchased fresh and locally. We pride ourselves on our farm-to-table efforts as we do not limit ourselves, or you, to a “set” menu.

Just as we discuss the design and other details of your event, we discuss the foods you love, along with what you have in mind for your wedding or event, and then we create a custom menu specific to your desires. It’s so boring to think of a set catering menu when there are so many flavors and deliciously detailed foods that can be designed just for your event! Day-Of Coordination

The many details a couple must attend to can be overwhelming. To help you, Southern Graces offers expert full wedding coordination. We help organize, plan AND create a wedding that is truly your own and act as the director for the wedding rehearsal, ceremony and reception. Southern Graces wedding planners work with you on your budget and design and help find creative partners most suited to your needs. Reception and Event Design

Design is happening 24/7 for us at Southern Graces. Setting trends is second nature. Our design services range from providing simple, elegant accents to full-scale productions. We offer in-house floral design for weddings and events to complete the look of your venue. Our consultations will unearth the root of your event and your style, so that we may match your florals flawlessly to your taste.

Our Everyday Inspired design services use premium lighting, fabrics, furnishings, and props to add an air of luxury to your event. Select from our many rental pieces available to customize the look of your event. Our full Event Management includes all of those services plus site selection, save-the-dates and invitations, programs, vendor coordination, logistical planning, on-site management, and budget management.
